The Originals 1x19 thoughts

Father Kieran: "There's a special place in hell for your kind."
Josh:        "Yeah not the first time I've heard that."

Despite what other people think I thought that this was an ok episode and I stand by what I said on twitter. The show is missing something ever since Rebekah left.

Klaus, Cami and Father Kieran
Well this was kinda sad of course because how it ended. So let’s delve into how it began. Cami and Josh (yay Josh) are helping Father K are the hex has gotten worse. But when we see a glimpse of the old Father K. This gives Cami an idea, and a weird one it is. Her idea is electro shock therapy. So they bring a doctor who is disgusted at what he has seen. So Josh compels him or does his best at compelling him (he's still a newbie vamp after all) to be ok and forget what he has seen. Marcel informs Klaus of what Cami is going through and since Marcel is still barred from the city he asks Klaus to help Cami. While the Electro Shock Therapy is happening even Klaus has to look away (Klaus of all people). But it kinda sorta works, he recognizes Cami for like a few seconds and then goes back to being crazy. Klaus again of all people has to stop Cami from continuing with the ECT, so as he was dying Cami begged Klaus to give him his blood so that he will turn into a vampire. So when Father K wakes up being in transition he knows what he has to do next. Cami and Klaus think that the hex has been broken but after a brief chat with Genevieve about the bayou bombing (more on that later) she tells him that a hex that powerful doesn't just go away in fact it will get stronger. So while Cami is alone with her uncle, he sees a vision of Bastiana the witch that hexed him in the first place and tells him that his work isn't done yet. So he gets a knife and attacks Cami with it, then he licks he blood thus becoming a vampire. But before Father K can kill Cami Klaus quickly comes and kills him this saving the day kinda. While Klaus takes Cami home she was asking for Marcel so Klaus lifts Marcel's ban for 24 hours just so that he is able to comfort Cami in her time of need.

Elijah and Haley

Elijah is in the bayou and wants to have a chat with Jackson and Oliver about their deal with Klaus but then a human on a motorbike comes and asks for the leader and then boom. The motorbike explodes and part of the explosion has wolfs bane in it which makes it even more deadly to the wolves. Haley thinks that the Marcel is involved so she sets at like a woman on a mission. She goes to Diego and wants Marcel's location and after some persuasion she gets the info she needed. While talking Marcel tells her that he knew her parents and he was not responsible for her parents' death, in fact they were already dead by the time he got there and she was just a baby when he found her. So he took her to father Kieran and he did the rest. He also explains that there was some in fighting between the werewolves so wolves could be responsible for her parent's death. Back at the bayou Eve who we learn has not completed the wolf transformation by killing someone is dying and won't take some of Elijah's blood to heal. She figures out that Oliver is responsible for the bayou explosion, not the vampires; we also learn that he was working with someone but we don't know who. Soon after this revelation he smothers with a pillow. (And I actually liked Oliver as well)

And that's basically all that happened this episode, other that Josh taking father K's key to give to Marcel (Poor Josh) and Klaus and Elijah discussing their Mother's grimoire. But next weeks ep looks like it’s going to be awesome and I think it’s gonna be because of The Vampire Diaries. TVD fans will know why. As usual can't wait till next week.
