This episode was actually quite revealing. So let’s get right into it. Klaus and Rebekah want answers about last week’s attack so they confront Sophie. We then get a back story of the witches and Davina and it all revolves around a witch ceremony called 'The harvest'. But Sophie was dead set against the ceremony.
So while Sophie is telling the story about the history of witches, Elijah and Davina hiding the fact that he is awake from Marcel. Davina also starts tell Elijah about 'The Harvest'. It requires four chosen witches to go to sleep during the ceremony and wake up at the end. The witches do this ritual in order to keep their ancestral powers and if the ritual doesn't happen then the witches will lose their powers. Davina was one of the chosen witches along with her best friend Monique who just so happens to be Sophie's niece, Jane-Anne's daughter. Davina then tells Elijah to complete 'The Harvest’ ritual has to die.
Haley convinces Sophie to take her to the bayou and Rebekah followed. Then Haley blackmails Rebekah to letting her go.
During another flashback we get a little bit of information that Sophie and Marcel were once an item and after failing to convince the witches to stop the ritual Sophie went to the priest Father Kieran for help in stopping 'The Harvest.'
Another bit of info we learn from this flashback is that Cami's twin brother the one that went on a killing spree was hexed by the witches into thinking he was losing his mind, which is why he went on the killing spree. (And here's me thinking that a vampire compelled him to do it.)
During the ceremony we see 'the purpose of The Harvest' was to slaughter the chosen witches. But Marcel stopped 'The Harvest.' Father Kieran went to Marcel before he left town after his nephew's rampage to ask him to stop 'The Harvest. During the ritual after the three witches were sacrificed including Monique, Davina got the dead witches' powers. I guess which is why she is so powerful.
Marcel was stalling Klaus and Rebekah so that he could move Davina. But t they thought that they were stalling him. But something caused Davina to faint so she couldn't leave. But I think that she faked it just so that she could finish talking to Elijah.

Elijah fixed Tim's violin and after that Davina's power went a little crazy and caused a minor tremor.
Marcel was stalling Klaus and Rebekah so that he could move Davina. But t they thought that they were stalling him. But something caused Davina to faint so she couldn't leave. But I think that she faked it just so that she could finish talking to Elijah. Speaking of their conversation, Elijah wants to help Davina so he promises to give her his mother's Grimoire.
After tucking Davina into bed Marcel meets Father Kieran and he tells him to stay away from his niece. Marcel asks who's his niece and Father Kieran says Cami. Uh oh sorry Marcel looks like that's another blonde bombshell you can't touch.
Soon after Marcel and Klaus have a heated conversation which leads to a fight which of course Klaus is gonna win, but before Marcel can even touch Klaus. Big bro Elijah comes to save him.
Elijah returns home and is reunited with the girls; he gets a big hug from baby sister Rebekah and a big slap from Haley.
Elijah starts to tell his siblings the truth about the witches and why they want Davina. They want her so that they could kill her and complete the ceremony and then Sophie's niece Monique can be revived. This whole war with Marcel is just a cover up so that they can get their hands on Davina.
So this episode was pretty awesome and very informative. It had its OMG moments and I can't wait to see what happens next. And did anyone else notice Haley and Elijah's chemistry and those BIG wolf prints? As usual l can't wait till next week.
